Gerald Mettam

Gaining various teaching diplomas in his native country England and in the Netherlands, most of Gerald's working life was spent as an editor with a science publisher in Amsterdam. He has massaged all his adult life, but in 1987 gained his diploma and began developing Touch Amsterdam together with study colleague Gerrit Siersema. He later founded Touch Natuur, for massage following naturist principles. (This practice, a not-for-profit foundation, has recently closed down, after 20 excellent years, due to the retirement of the standing committee members, for whom no replacements could be found.) Since then he has run the practices and has developed the beginners' course. His massage practice for individuals is in Almere, a half-hour train journey from Amsterdam.

Rolf Wegman

Rolf was born in Amsterdam and grew up in nearby Uithoorn. After a psychology study, he changed tack and has worked for many years in IT. For a better balance between brain and hands, he began his study of massage with Touch Amsterdam in 1999. He later followed the one-year diploma course in massage and has also studied Avatar and Reiki. His heart lies in Shiatsu, however, and after a one-year elementary course, he embarked on a 5-year university programme to become a Shiatsu therapist, which he has now completed. He runs a shared practice in Hilversum. He offers only Shiatsu, no classical massage.

You can make an appointment via the website of his Shiatsu practice: Sangha
